Caledonian Supports Equestrian Charity Delivering Aid to Ukrainian Refugees

We have recently been very proud to support the charity Ukraine Equestrian Relief, through our work with our customer Equiport, and the production and sale of charity branded saddle cloths.

Ukraine Equestrian Relief is a group of local customers and other equestrians who have joined forces to use their horseboxes to help Ukrainian refugees.  In March, they sent 9 horseboxes to the Poland/Ukraine border carrying 18 tonnes of humanitarian and medical aid donated in the UK. This was dropped off at a humanitarian aid distribution centre in Chelm, Poland with the medical aid being loaded straight into British-donated ambulances and taken straight into Ukraine.

To support the charity’s fundraising activities, Equiport have been producing branded saddle cloths with £10 donated to UER with every sale.  At Caledonian, we have been delighted to support this project by quilting the saddle cloth material, free of charge.

You can find out more about this incredible charity, who’s efforts have raised over £70k so far, through the amazing efforts and support from individuals, organisations and businesses, all on a purely voluntary basis, meaning every penny raised goes directly to fuel costs and the purchasing of aid for the refugees.
